Jim is a qualified solicitor with over 15 years’ experience of providing advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious legal matters, as well as strategic risk and insurance. He has specific expertise in commercial contracts, intellectual property, real estate, employment, data protection and civil litigation.

Jim is presently employed as an in-house solicitor at The University of Liverpool with responsibility for management and leadership of the Legal & Insurance Team. In 2021, he was also appointed as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law where he taught various modules on the Legal Practice Course.

In his free time, Jim is interested in local history and has a passionate interest in the economic development of the Liverpool City Region.
